At the Fair

Rio Gozo had the pleasure of partnering with Chef Tim Kilcoyne of the Sidecar to compete for the Bounty of the County prize at the Fair. Chef Tim won! We were thrilled to get to be a part of his success.

Chef Tim and the Sidecar are a really important partner for us at the farm. Please thank him by visiting his restaurant. There, you will find perfectly prepared cuts of locally grown meats, beautiful salads, and delicious starters. Chef Tim really knows how to get the best out of seasonal foods, and his work will inspire you!

Here are a few photos of the competition. You may recognize some of the vegetables...

There is plenty of gozo at Rio Gozo Farm. That is JOY in Spanish and joy is one of the most dependable products we have. Gozo is commonly found in gardens and farms. Once you get a little gozo up and going it is very tolerant of most pests, withstands dry periods, and grows with a modicum of fertilizer. After gozo becomes a staple of one's diet, it goes with about anything. Actually folks crave it so much it is a wonder everyone does not have a patch of it growing close at hand. Grab up some gozo and get with the flow.
