The Farm Special

There's nothing like winding down after a long day of farming with a refreshing drink. And by "refreshing," I mean tequila. As an added benefit, one serving contains a full 100% of your RDA of vitamin C.

2 oz freshly squeezed page tangerine juice
2 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
2 oz Silver tequila

Serve over ice.

My life provides me with far too few opportunities to drink during the day because, sadly, I do not play golf. After having one at the farm, I took my CSA box home, after stopping for tequila and had a farm special party. These are truly inspired cocktails, even if you are asked to drink them over darts.

There is plenty of gozo at Rio Gozo Farm. That is JOY in Spanish and joy is one of the most dependable products we have. Gozo is commonly found in gardens and farms. Once you get a little gozo up and going it is very tolerant of most pests, withstands dry periods, and grows with a modicum of fertilizer. After gozo becomes a staple of one's diet, it goes with about anything. Actually folks crave it so much it is a wonder everyone does not have a patch of it growing close at hand. Grab up some gozo and get with the flow.
