Outstanding

Friday was a wild day. Thanks to the untiring support of CSA member Jet Doye, and chef extraordinaire Tim Kilcoyne, Rio Gozo was selected yesterday as the site of the May 29th Outstanding in the Field dinner. Tickets go on sale today.

Outstanding in the Field is a organization with a mission we love - to make great meals with ingredients that are entirely local, and to celebrate community through food. You can learn more about their remarkable ten-year history here. We are thrilled to be partnering with them this May!

Tickets sell fast, so if you want to join us, sign up soon. We hope to see you there!

There is plenty of gozo at Rio Gozo Farm. That is JOY in Spanish and joy is one of the most dependable products we have. Gozo is commonly found in gardens and farms. Once you get a little gozo up and going it is very tolerant of most pests, withstands dry periods, and grows with a modicum of fertilizer. After gozo becomes a staple of one's diet, it goes with about anything. Actually folks crave it so much it is a wonder everyone does not have a patch of it growing close at hand. Grab up some gozo and get with the flow.
