What Do You Use Pollen For?



Hello friends,  this week you will find a bag containing dill flower in your share.  We here at Gozo think this little addition is the bee's knees.  I am currently reading, "Heat" by Bill Buford, about New York chef Mario Batali.  Sprinkled among descriptions of cooking sheep head and stuffing ravioli with beef cheeks are tips on using dill pollen.  Dill pollen is an excellent accent or exclamation point when added to potatoes or poultry and fish.  Simply shake the head of the dilly firecracker over the dish before serving and watch the grand finale on the faces of friends and family.  I suspect that it would perfectly compliment a chocolate torte or vanilla ice cream.  Enjoy and let us know how you pollinate your creations.

There is plenty of gozo at Rio Gozo Farm. That is JOY in Spanish and joy is one of the most dependable products we have. Gozo is commonly found in gardens and farms. Once you get a little gozo up and going it is very tolerant of most pests, withstands dry periods, and grows with a modicum of fertilizer. After gozo becomes a staple of one's diet, it goes with about anything. Actually folks crave it so much it is a wonder everyone does not have a patch of it growing close at hand. Grab up some gozo and get with the flow.
